Although cargo transport is carried out by vehicles, and the optimization is supervised by specialized software, people manage the entire logistics process. We have a well-coordinated team of professionals which keeps watching the safety and timeliness of deliveries.

Historical outline

Each company has its own history, Ours is extremely long and interesting. Therefore, we would like to present in a few sentences what the beginnings of our journey looked like and where we are today.

It is 1971. Rienk Dijkstra performs the first commercial transport.

The beginning of this business activity dates back to 1971, when Rienk Dijkstra, with his first DAF, performs independent transports in Western Europe. A tractor with a semi-trailer for transporting live animals travels hundreds of kilometers, which turns out to be the beginning of a several-decade long route that has lasted until now.

First visits to Poland in the 1970s and 1980s.

It was undoubtedly a difficult period for Polish people. During the ubiquitous shortages, a set led by Rienko Dijkstra came to Poland. One of the humanitarian convoys reached Poznań and then everything started for good. Poland turned out to be an excellent place to run and develop the transport business, which was used by the owner of the company back then.

Polish branch of Brinkman Trans Holland

Cooperation with Brinkman Trans Holland started in 2015. The Polish branch is being established in Przeźmierów near Poznań. Initially, with a fleet of 10 refrigeration sets, transports are carried out in the Benelux and Scandinavia. In 2016, a branch in Moldova was established and the offer is accompanied by FTL loads, break bulk and air shipments in the directions of Western and Southern Europe.

Change in Hoekman Logistics

The establishment of Hoekman opens another door to expansion in the international transport market. With a fleet of nearly 90 vehicles, Hoekman takes over the shares of Brinkman Trans Holland and Hoekman Holding in order to continue its more than 90-year tradition in refrigerated and food transport in Scandinavia.

Nearly 50 years have passed since the establishment of the first transport company, history makes a circle, and in the era of global turmoil and fuel crisis, FDP Transport is established. The rich experience of the owners, combined with the verve and modern perception of the young crew, allow them to perfectly find themselves in the reality around us. Thanks to the huge commitment of the entire team, the company is constantly growing and expanding the range of services offered and is trusted by an increasing number of satisfied customers.
